We have Oregon native, Dr. Patrick Denard, on for this episode. He’s an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery at the Oregon Shoulder Institute. Dr. Denard has been voted one of the top shoulder surgeons worldwide by National Library of Medicine Expertscape and is the most widely published shoulder specialist in Oregon. Dr. Denard has advanced arthroscopy training and is able to perform the vast majority of shoulder procedures in a minimally invasive fashion, including all types of rotator cuff repairs and instability repair.
In addition to his position at Southern Oregon Orthopedics, Dr. Denard is an instructor at Oregon Health & Science University, and is the Director of Shoulder and Sports Medicine at Providence Medford. He continues to participate in research, presenting this nationally and internationally and regularly instructs other orthopedists at courses on the shoulder.

Dr. Burkhart ignited Dr. Denard’s passion for academic research and have shared hard work ethics.
