It says a lot when we had a hard time deciding to call this episode either “International Rockstar” or “The Meteor” for this surgeon’s meteoric rise in orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Chahla is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of complex knee, hip, and all sports related injuries. He is a team physician for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Fire. He did his education in his home country of Argentina, where he got his MD and Ph.D. Dr. Chahla did not one, not two, but three fellowships at top institutions in the U.S. including SMOG, SPRI and Rush Orthopedics. Dr. Chahla is passionate about research with 250+ published articles, 30 book chapters and well known internationally with his lectures. This is a remarkable story with truly an international orthopedic rockstar. Discussion topics include:
-How he overcame so many hurdles with medical schooling in Argentina and getting accredited in the U.S. through fellowships
-Importance of mentorship
